I only read the first fucking paragraph and I already hate you.
I read said paragraph in my head in a whiny spoiled voice, almost like a toddler would sound. ‘made the fandom accessible’ are you serious? what, can people not enjoy things that you happen to be a part of? can someone else who enjoys the same fucking things that you enjoy not enjoy them in a way that others, ‘outsiders’ - if you insist on being a purist piece of shit - can also enjoy them? yeah I’m sure the creator of yugioh made that shit just for you guys and god forbid it if anyone else enjoys them as anything less than ultra serious and ultra rigid. please pull your head out of your ass before your (perfectly sculpted and true to character, of course!!!) yami wig causes hemorrhoids.
example: I was a sonic fangirl for years and years and no one I ever knew threw their hands up in serious disgust at a fan-artist who drew Sonic or Shadow or Amy out-of-character. no one ever condemned a fan-dubbing as a massive pile of shit that wasn’t good enough because they made two of the characters camp-gay. and no one certainly ever held a fucking torch and pitchfork raid against a singular person for their interpretation of something they loved and put hours and hours of work into.
you’re a pretty disgusting person for placing so much negative blame on Martin and you should calm the fuck down about concerning a japanese series about card games. jesus christ. making such a genuinely nice person respond to all of these people and having to justify what he does and why he does it when it’s what he loves doing for a fandom he loves is horseshit and you should be ashamed of yourself.
